Where can i get the best information on the Toy poodles?

is it true the smaller of the breed is often reffered to as teacup, what does this mean, will i get the runt of the litter or is this the smallest type of toy poodle?|||First forget about the Teacup bull crap that is not a real breed size that is a fancy word breeders use to make the value of the dog seem much bigger or better than what it is!

You probably seen that word and thought wow I must be getting something good. NO. actually there is a possibility that you may be getting a sick dog because it is bred to be small and may not be getting the right nutrition or whatever it need to fight off diseases and doesn't really live very long! do some research go to http://www.Wikipedia.com and look up everything you want to know. Not to be mean just putting out the facts before you are disappointed!

Hope I helped|||The smallest breed of any dog is the TOY.. Teacup is not a standard of size...Teacup in general come from the Runts of Litters (Runt meaning the Smallest) then the runts are Mated to produce even smaller dogs..

Mind you not all Runts will have medical problems but the majority of them will have moderate to severe issues with bone structures and immune systems...

you can find more information at

www.akc.org and look to the breeds information website and locate good breeders in your area to find out even more.|||www.akc.org

It will have a breed profile of the dog.

Alsi it will have links to the national breed club and they have all the information and they are responsible for helping to set the breed standards for AKC.

Please take the time and read up on this about "teacups" before buying one. There is no such size for poodles and it is a term used by breeders when a dog is very tiny. They come with health issues and problems please read up on the breed standards before you buy.|||Teacup anything is a trashy marketing term, and the earmark of a bad breeder.

Contact a reputable toy poodle breeder, and they should be able to help you get a nice little dog that has been bred the right way, for health and structure, with proper upbringing and care of the mother. It's that easy.
