Some start at age 3.|||That's what I was going to suggest, the work bench set- I am guessing this is a boy. If you have an educational supply store around- they have awesome puzzles and games to stimulate logical thinking. Three is a good age, because some of the toys that were previously forbidden are now ok to play with, I think it depends on your child and his interests and abilities. He might like tranformers or bionicals. I say it's never too early to start teaching them how to play chess or checkers! Check them out.

A good toy for a 3 year old with technical interests?
Can you suggest a toy for a 3 year old toddler who LOVES to take things apart and put them back together? I have considered the plastic hammer, screwdriver, bolt set; however this will not be enough stimulation in the short/long term.
