Trying to start breeding a toy polmeranian?

I just recently bought a female toy polmeranian and was curious on details on how to breed them pure bred and selling them with a liscence...and how do i obtain a liscence for breeding and does it cost a lot??? THANKS|||If you can't even spell it, you have no business breeding.

I'm sure you are going to get a lot of answers that tell you NOT to breed. Unless this is a pure bred with papers, you are just contibuting to the overpopulation of dogs who are desperately competing for homes.

Think about it. Each puppy that your dog has, there will be just as many, (if not one of your dogs), that will be euthanized.

Be responsible, do some reading, and if nobody here was able to convince you, go to an animal shelter and help out with euthanizing dogs and kittens, then I'm sure you will reconsider.

Good Luck.

-------------------------

Honestly, if you can't take the fact that almost 100% of your answers say don't breed, then really, I don't think you are going to get the picture any time soon.

Another thing you should do is research all of the things that can go wrong with your dog due to pregnancy, and that may make you think a bit harder.

Really, people aren't going to be so aggressive if they don't know what they are talking about and didn't believe in the cause, but please, listen. I'm really not trying to offend at all and I know everyone here has good intentions, but breeding may not be the best idea.

If you love dogs so much and are really serious about breeding, buy a show quality dog, enter it in competitions, etc, etc, and do the right thing, I mean it when I say you are basicly killing dogs by breeding pet quality pups. And remember, good breeders don't make any reasonable money, heck, they often loose money, so if you are not willing to lose money, this isn't for you.

Also, don't just pick one of the half asssed answers by people who think they know everything, just because you don't agree.

Please, reconsider, we're not just here to start 'bashing', we're here to help.|||First of all, if you can't even spell the breed, don't bother breeding. Breed for quality. You can't just pick two POMERANIANS and expect good pups. Depending on your laws, you may also need to spay/neuter as well as get shots and deworming before selling the pups. I wouldn't recommend breeding. There are enough dogs out there as it is, and you may lose money instead of gain.|||SPAY SPAY SPAY!!! Your unhealthy pet quality POMERANIAN does not need to taint the already ruined breed.|||AAAARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

POMERANIANS (NOT "Polmeranians") come in ONE SIZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DONT BREED! GET A LIFE AND SPAY YOUR DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*ETA*

You seriously want advice on how to breed when you cant even spell the name of the breed?! Come ON! It wasnt one spelling mistake (like a typpo) you plain and simple didnt know how to spell Pomeranian - you spelled it wrong multiple times. DONT BREED!|||There are THOUSANDS of dogs pure breed and mixed in shelters that are put to sleep every year. We don't need anymore dogs. Please spay your dog and DO NOT BREED! If done correctly there is little to no money in dog breeding. If you are thinking that you can find a home for all of your puppies then please just go get all those people that you know that wants a dog and take them to the shelter and get then a homeless dog that will be KILLED if it does not get a home!

If you think you are going to make money breeding think about these things.

1. Feeding your dog (pregnant and nursing dogs eat double if not more)

2. Feeding puppies

3. Vaccines for the mother

4. Vaccines for the puppies

5. Keeping the mother on flea and tick meds that are approved for pregnant and nursing dogs (Frontline--no over the counter flea and tick meds are approved for pregnant and lactating dogs)

6. Heartworm preventative for the mother

7. De-wormer for the mother and the pups

8. Veterinary check ups for all puppies and the mother

9. Possible need for c-section (wow those are expensive)

And those are just a few that I thought of off the top of my head. I really think you need to spay your dog instead. There really is not a bunch of money in raising puppies. PLEASE RECONSIDER!|||Seeing you don't know a thing about breeding/showing/how to spell Pomeranian/etc. Go learn as MUCH as you can about breeding and start showing your dogs and find a good mentor and health test your CH. And then come back and ask this question in 10 years.

It's obvious your dog is NOT breeding worthy, PLEASE SPAY!|||go out and do things with your pom - show, do obedience, or agility -join your local kennel club %26amp; help out there. In this way you gain mentors to help, connections for stud dogs %26amp; puppy homes and the knowledge that could save your girls life .....|||If you cant even spell your breed's name you have no buisines breeding.

There's also no such thing as a "toy" pom.. they come in ONE SIZE ONLY.

Get your dog spayed. Leave breeding to those who know what they are doing, and who have quality, shown, tested and prooven dogs.|||here unless you breed more than 4 litters a year you don't need a license...with a license you have to pay taxes on every pup you sale...the taxes goes to help your animal shelter...i have a license i pay $28 to $32 in taxes on each pup i sell...i only breed 3 litters a year till 2011 then i'll be breeding more...
