Am getting ready to set up my new business and want to know which toy dogs are the most popular and make the best hybrids? I will also offer purebred dogs, but will mainly focus on the hybrids since that is what people seem to be willing to pay the most money for.
Which ones do you think? Yorkies, poodles,chiwawas?|||Your best bet would get a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Miniature Poodle. That would make a "Cavapoo". That particular designer breed will sell for $1,200+. Both those breeds are highly intelligent making them the easiest dog to train.
I know i'll get thumbs down for my answer. But no matter what people will keep breeding the designer breeds. No, please don't. Get a mentor if you're serious about breeding, and pick ONE AKC breed that you want to breed. Toy breeds are prone to tons of problems with whelping, so be prepared to lose your dogs. Breeding isn't a business for profit. Breeding is something done for the love of the breed - when it's done right.|||There is no such thing as a hybrid dog, it's a mongrel!
No amount so silly mady up names (pugalier, yorkiepoo, multipoo, etc) is going to change the fact that it is a cross breed.|||So if I were looking for a C-H-I-H-U-A-H-U-A, you would sell me a "chiwawa"? Hmmmmm, not so sure I would want to spend big $'s for a dog that would have it's breed miss-spelled on it's papers. Get a real life, leave the poor dogs alone.

There is no need since HYBRIDS are totally healthy. You get the best of each breed that way too. And they are totally hypoallergenic too.
Don't vaccinate them before sale either....they are too small!!!|||I think that you should start with Shih Tzu, Bichon, Maltese, and Pomeranians.
They seem to be the best choices for designer hybrids! And make sure that you have a 15 X 25 ft concrete "play area" for them!|||I am not a fan of breeding dogs for profit. There are already many out there in need of homes. If you do go through with it please take your responsibility to provide the dogs you will be breeding with a good home seriously and don't just use them as profit machines.|||Just what we need - another idiot with no idea about genetics or health (or spelling!) starting up a puppy farm for profit.
How can you justify locking a dog up in a tiny cage 24/7 giving it no training, love or attention and then making it mate with another cross bred mutt every time it comes into season just so you can make money from the puppies who will not be brought up in a loving, caring environment with social interaction and good quality feeding and vet care?
NO thanks - i'd rather buy mine from a reputable, caring breeder who knows something about genetic testing, vet care and socialisation.
Why don't you go to your local shelter and see where most of your designer puppies will end up when the health issues and bad temperaments are realised by the new owners.
Better still pick up a couple of (neutered) dogs from the shelter to start your puppy farm with (seeing as that is about as much as you know about genetics, biology and health care of dogs).|||We should think carefully about whether we want to contribute to even more suffering in the world -- the dogs can't speak for themselves:

When people breed for the toy, they don't always consider health, structure, brains.... Don't get caught up in looks alone. Look at temperment, how the dog is built.... The hybrids breeds can't be registered so be aware of that. Keep everything clean or else you could get some very unhealthy dogs. You should not just breed for a profit. Reputable breeders stick to one breed, the breed they have dedicated their lives to. People who purposely breed mutts or several breeds are called PUPPY MILLERS!

Her dogs are really SPOILED and she knows what shes doing when it comes to breeding!|||You shouldn't use those ones, they have all been over bred, inbred and the purebred breeders have ruined them. You should start with a less known breed, one that the AKC breeders haven't messed up yet.|||how stupid..you dont care about the health of the pups or if the mom has genetic testing,all you think about is $$$$. the best breeders breed for hobby,not as a job!!!! they get their money from other sources. In the end,a responsible breeder will only end up getting their money back after selling ups. However if you do make hoards of money then you prbobly did not spend a dime on health care.
And they arnt hybrids their mix breeds. a hybrid is a mix bettween two different species, like a zebra and a horse or a dog and a wolf.|||I currently breed Miniature Pinschers and was told by my vet that this breed is the best a delivering on its own. Between my 2 females I have had about 40 pups and not had a bit of problem. They only get about 10 pounds and are a great dog for elderly people because of their size and protective nature.|||my wife had a peek-a-poo, it was pretty cute, and wasnt to much of a chick dog. look into that one|||I would chose a Miniature Schnauzer. Yes the smaller dogs do have more health problems.
Don't pay attention to some of these people. I can't beleive how so many people think it is wrong to breed your dogs. It seems like everyone is so anti breeding, yet they got pets of there own and where did they come from. UGH|||Labradoodle, Corgidors. Shitzus Chihuahuas. Anything that you can put in a big Gucci bag. I personally think the whole thing's a little stupid and we're wayyyyyy too influenced by Paris Hilton, but hell. Some people on here will tell you not to breed your dogs, but it is your decision to breed your dogs without other people telling you what to do. They Breed dogs so why can't other people do it.|||Chiweenies are really popular, as well as yorkiedoodles, maltipoos, cockapoos,cavachons and pekeapoos. I am sure you will do really good and make lots of money.
