Like a normal kids toy gun is it possible to change that into a gun that fires bullets ?|||No. Unlike what you have seen in this commercial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7jr0S1fr鈥?/a> it is impossible to convert toys guns or air guns to fire real ammo. Most either due to the mechanical differences, others due to the issue that plastics cannot handle the operation pressures.
There are some airsoft ar15 receivers that we have been told by the ATF with the proper tooling could maybe, possibly be able to stick in a real fire control group. But like anything the ATF says you should automatically believe it is a politically motivated lie.|||Oddly enough, the Walther P22 started as a pellet gun, and was sold that way. The engineers realized the frame and barrel were strong enough for .22LR and converted it. The .22 version had some initial reliability problems, but was safe. The problems were handled and the P22 is now a fun gun.
But to answer your question, No, you can't make a toy gun into a real gun. Evven the most realistic toy guns often have obstructed barrels and the metal is not strong enough.|||if you really, really know your stuff its possible. you some kind of wacko oddball firearms tinkerer/hobbyist?
you'll need to replace alot of parts and insert many new parts completely concealed, color and texture match the new parts to the old so you can't tell the work that's been done, the use of composite materials to strength some parts, and know your ammunition well enough to know what kind of ammo it can fire without exploding.
I'm assuming by toy gun you means anything that's not one for those little clear plastic water pistols? cap guns, air guns, BB guns, airsoft, laser guns (for laser tag use) kiddie guns that just make light and noise, and water guns (super soaker style).
I once put a .22 rifle (real gun) inside a working watergun just for sh!ts and giggles. it had alot of problems, but it was a totally insane project. making a cap gun shoot real ammunition- not hard at all. but wouldn't bother, its not worth my time.|||Absolutely not. Firstly, the cost of doing it would be considerably more than buying the gun itself. The materials in a toy gun could never withstand the recoil of even a small gun.
Occasionally, it is possible to convert a replica gun into the real thing but even this isn't easy.|||Nope.
Toy guns are usually plastic, which wouldn't be able to withstand the heat from a real bullet.
By the time you can get a "toy" gun to shoot real bullets, it won't look anything like a real gun.
Question: why do you want to make a real gun out of a toy gun anyways?|||In some cases, yes, but it would be a classic Zip Gun, more dangerous to the user than the target. Although I believe there might have been a big to-do about a line of m16 style airsoft rifles having a part that would let you turn any ar-15 SEMI into an automatic. Don't quote me on that though|||Everyone here is mocking you. Not only is it possible, but it turns out better than buying a real gun. It's safe, effective, and yields an incredibly powerful and accurate device. It's what our military uses, actually.|||Both Newell and Reb are correct,if you consider Airsoft guns toys.I for one don't,as some of them cost more than firearms! It would cost you more than buying the same type of gun it represents,so I don't see the point, but it can and has been done! :)|||Normal kid's gun: no. Some airsoft guns: Yes.
http://www.tacticalmilsim.com/3-civilian鈥?/a>|||I heard rumors the in Japan [around 95-05] they had a company who made such high quality airsoft bolt action guns that they were easily converted to shoot sub sonic .22 shorts. The rumors said this was mostly done by the Japanese mafia. It's worth looking into.|||Generally speaking, no. If anybody actually did succeed in doing so, the gun itself would be just as dangerous to the person firing it as anybody else nearby.|||not a toy gun but you can convert a blank firing gun into a real one with enough work. it is real easy to mess up and i don't recommend it.|||They did that on "Six Million Dollar Man" one time. The guy that did it, wound up getting shot in the gut with it. If you believe everything that you see on TV, I guess it is possible.|||Even if this were possible, the cheap die cast pot metal would NEVER withstand the pressure of the weakest modern cartridge. No brainer, a resounding NO.|||Certainly, make sure you are using the .50 BMG cartridge. Just look in the mirror for a good while beforehand to say goodbye to your face.|||Anything is possible.
Now what you should ask yourself is...........
........ What can I do in life with half my face and part of my hand missing.|||It would be easier to run over the toy gun with a truck and go buy a real gun.|||Suppose it's possible but not a good idea -|||Don't be ridiculous!|||Not unless your a wizard.|||no, it b impossible|||No.|||haha, no.|||ok......gettng worried here.....|||Yes certain models of Airsoft guns CAN be turned into real guns with almost no changes. The FBI recently raided a shipment arriving in the US. Here the link.
