If at present a toy company would manufacture plush toys of the chipmunks,do you think it would sell big?

Just asking. I've researched about these toys of the Chipmunks over the net. I've found out that they were a big seller in the 80's. The toys were manufactured by the IDEAL company. At present, since the new movie had come out, do you think it would sell big?

By the way, is the toy manufacturing company, Ideal, still alive?|||No, one movie would not have the same mass marketing affect on children as 8 years of a super popular Saturday morning cartoon would.

And no Ideal closed after being sold to CBS who shut itself down probably around 82-83

If anyone was going to pick up the line sometime soon I'd expect it to be Play Along Toys.|||Well, the movie has already come out, so I don't necessarily see it being a "hot" item. Maybe moderate sales.|||I have seen the kids so excited about this movie. the great things about bringing back 80s characters is that us older folks still have fond memories of them and youngsters like them just the same. The plushes would be a great seller!|||After children saw movie Alvin and the chipmunks i took them to spend there birthday money at the toy shop they were desperate for a chipmunk but they found nothing so i took them to a few other shops only to find they didn't market them so kids went with something else .They missed on that one because all the kids loved it as much as we did if not more.they are so missing there chance to make big money with the chipmunks
