its a toy with perches and mirrors and ropes exc and it hangs from the cieling. i spent 40 dollars on it. shes scared of it i guess and i took of a perch to see if shell get on that she still flew away. she just turned 1. i dont know how to get her to like it?|||Just keep it where she can see it for a while, but don't try to make her get close to it. Birds are scared of new things and need to get used to them.|||hhahah I had two cockatiels...i bought a really expensive swing......they HATED it. I had one other swing that was in there already that was cheap as chips...they loved it.
I got a new bird and he's more out going and inquisitive...so as soon as I introduced him, he was on both swings. So it was more of a personality thing in my case.
All you can do is leave it and see if she will go on it by herself. Does it fit in her cage? If so, she'll probably get used to it after a while and realise there's nothing to be scared of.|||This sounds like my cockatiel.
I bought him a rattle ball and when i put it near him he goes crazy and goes flying all over the place.
Though it only did that cause he though that it was a predator and was going to hurt him then after a few weeks he saw it wasn't trying to harm him and he has been playing with it ever since. Just give your bird some time and it will trust it and play with it.
Goodluck.xx|||just let her get used to the toy her self and then she will learn to play with it whens she ready she might not want to play with it when you try to make her|||Give her time to get use to it|||My cockatiel does that too. Anything new in his cage he avoids for a while. He's usually afraid of his new cuttle bones a lot of the time. Eventually they gt used to it. Just don't force it on them.
