How to control Tear Stains for my Toy Poodle?

My Toy Poodle puppy has a massive stain from her tear things (the ones she gets when she sleeps). We were going to buy her Tear Stain wipes but now, my mum and dad have been rolling out every cent of theres to help my sister get better from her deadly disease. We've tried wet paper towels and tissues but none of them seem to be working. Are there any suggestions?

Thanks|||Ordinarilly I would recommend a natural food supplement like Angels Delight by Bichon Hotel but it is not cheap.

Angels Eyes costs about the same but it uses an antibiotic to wotk (tylosin).

The cider vinegar might work, as might the bottled water.

A cheaper option would be to switch to the BARF- raw food diet, afterall how much does frozen minced meat cost from a pet store.

Alternatively try home cooking- using decent poultry and green beens.

These two options should be cheaper than buying "food" made in a factory out of the bits that humans wouldn't eat.

Optrex can also help a little. In an ideal world if you could keep the hair dry there would not be any staining but this is not practical.

There are also many home made paste recepies in dog forums- some are better/safer than others so proceed with caution...

Hope your sister gets better- am glad that in the UK we get free health care|||Angels eyes works good, its hard to get rid of tear stains unless you know why your dog is getting them, try giving your dog only bottled water sometimes the chlorine in the water gives them tear stains sometimes its from the food your feeding your dog, the dye in the food can cause them, so try the water for a couple months first then try angels eyes =)
