What kind of voltage regulator should I use with toy motor generator?

I'm wanting to charge 2 AA using a standard toy motor what kind of voltage regulator should I use? ( I don't want anybody saying " I don't think it's neccesary in that case what if i were to use a larger motor with a body diameter of 11/4 ")

Thanks|||You can use a simple linear transistor/zener regulator.|||I would use an adjustable voltage regulator. An LM317T should do just fine. It has a very simple 3 terminal design and by using a potentiometer will give you an adjustable output. It ranges from 1.2v (and depending on input voltage) up to 35v at 1.5amp. Since you are using a smaller motor to supply the input voltage, you shouldn't have to worry about too high of a charging current. You can find detailed specs on it here:
