What is that toy called where it looks like a person but you keep opening it to get more little people?

i forgot the name of that toy! I use to love it and I'm trying to look for one but i forgot what the name of it was! You know that little wooden (sometimes metal) doll thing that splits in half and when you open it there's another one and you open that and there's another one... you get the point.
