I own a 2 years old male toy poodle and I just don't understand why he keeps on barking in the middle of the night and early morning around 4-6 a.m. I couldn't find anything that could troubling him. Any ideas on how to make him stop barking unnecessarily because I am worried that my neighbours may complain about him. Thanks.|||Teaching a quite command can help I have our Beagle trained to do this when he wakes up early.
You did not say where he sleeps.
Here is a source of information I found helpful.

You should take control of your dog, don't let him be the boss! And if you are treating him like a child - let him sleep in your bed, sofa etc then expect him to act like a child!|||maybe he is lonely and want s to be with you bring him into your room for a few nights and see what that does as if they complain to often he will be removed from you|||Exercise and doing potty has nothing to do with barking. Poodles have some of the most sensitive hearing in all the dog world. Some how they can hear people talking from a far distance, Also toys and minis are notorious for being barkers. The standards or largest of the poodle breed are not as bad, but will still bark at things. I have told my husband toy and mini poodles will bark at a fly farting in next county, (lol).
There is not much that can be done except try wearing him out prior to bedtime.
