My dog is really attached to a toy and makes wierd noises when its in her mouth. What is this all about?

My dog walks around my house with this dog toy. She does not go anywhere without it. Usually its in her mouth and its usually for a long time. While the toy is in her mouth she makes these really weird noises. I cant figure this out.. Someone help!|||Normal. It is a chewing noise. Sounds like a sort of fusion between a grunt, yelp and a whine with lots of air. Happens.

Ensure that the toy is made of some hard material which the dogs teeth cannot tear or worse- the dog can swallow bits of- and also ensure that the coating is ok! After that leave her and her toy alone.|||Well, it would help if you added what kind of noise she makes, like a groaning or growling or whimpering. Anyway, this is a normal dog behavior. Sometimes, when there are no other dogs around to la with, they attach themselves to an inanimate friend to play with. In this case, it's a particular toy your dog has. If you don't like this behavior, replace it with a different toy and put the old toy away for a while. If the same thing occurs, only play with toys that are out when your dog has to play with them (tennis balls for example). Then your dog can have fun without annoying you. Make sure that if you separate your dog from her "friend" you give her plenty of encouraging talk (good girl, ect.) and stroke and pat her often.

Hope this helped, good luck|||Hi

She's probably just making happy noises, or breathing funny because it's in her mouth.|||Your dog has an obsession with the toy. You should consult an animal behaviorist.
