Is it normal for my 3 elderly cats to play w/ toy mice for an hour a day?

2 17 year olds and 1 18 year old cat and from 6:30pm to 7:30pm every night they run around upstairs and play w/ their toy mice.

Does anyone else have old cats that play like this? Keeps them young :)|||by know its there routine if they didnt they might get upset..

cats can be faniky at that age|||It is normal and is a good sign.

That they still have the extra energy to play hunt and charge around at least indicates that they are feeling good.

Something to watch for is if they stop as a change in behavior usually indicates a health problem.

Yes, I have had elderly cats who tore around the place like little maniacs.|||One of my cat's is 16 years old and still plays with his catnip toy mouse everyday, He loves it and he acts like a dog, bringing it back to each person in the house to throw it for him :)|||Well my cat's 11 and he's more playful than my younger cats. He runs around the house and chases stuff all the time.|||Yeah it's normal. I had a 24 year old cat that used to love doing that. Every day. Till she went bonkers %26amp; lost her mind.|||It is normal. I have a few kittys running around here and the older they are the harder they play. No kiddin. :P|||Do they contain cat nip? they love that stuff, maybe that's why|||its normal, it just means they are still kittens at heart :)
