How to run a sex toy party?

My 2 friends and I want to go into buisness together hosting women's sex toy parties, how would we conduct a party? Do we NEED to go thru a buisness that hires independent sales reps? Because we just wanted to invest in the products on our own, without any links to other distributors due to the fact that we don't like the quality of their products and want to get full commision. Any tips on how a party would be ran? Any tips on how this buisness can be successful?|||You do not need to go through a business - you just need to find a good distributor that sells only non-toxic toys. A good one I know of is Entrenue, I think they are in Arizona, but will ship anywhere. I agree that most of the toys at the passion party type parties are crap and many of them are toxic, they contain phthalates which could cause cancer in the long run and have been banned in children's toys, but since adult products are not regulated by the FDA, they are good money makers as they are cheaper materials. |||Honestly, the best way to start in the business is to sign up with an established company. This way you learn what it takes to be successful in the business, you learn sales techniques, and you do not have to file for any special licenses or pay out sales tax. I would recommend For Your Pleasure, Inc. They offer over 1,400 products in all price/quality ranges so you do not have to worry about having low quality products.





You can be an independent rep, but it takes a lot of work to get started. You will have to get a business license, tax id number, and sales tax license. When I started mine I filled for an LLC. It is costly when you go this way. Although you set your own prices, costs of being independent add up quickly and you end up making pretty much the same as you would joining a company. Besides all the fees I just mentioned, the price of having your catalogs designed and printed is astronomical!
