Can your eyes be damaged by looking at the infrared light from a car toy's infrared remote control?

The directions warn against looking at the beam, even at the reflection of the beam. Yet this toy is labeled for 36 months and older. I find it odd that if it's unsafe at all, we would trust a 3-year-old with it. Is it, or is it not, complete safe on the eyes?|||yes. i think so at least,|||If it's strong enough, probably. but really, if you stare at any light long enough it can damage your eyes
