I need some good promotional ideas for a toy shop?
It's the 10th anniversary of the toy shop and we are trying to find some ideas to promote the shop.|||maybe get some new toy and have it on sale 4 a day or like first 100 ppl to arive on a day get something for free maybe a major sale|||Have you tried www.TheMuseMen.com? They have a few services that either help you start a company or actually start it for you and just pay part of the profits.
If you touch a toy which has cancer-causing substance and touch another surface, will it be transfered?
I have touched a toy which is very cheap and low quality. I doubt that it contains cancer-causing substance. I touched to my cellphone and bag after holding this toy in my hand for a long time. Do you think that my cellphone and bag now has that cancer-causing substance on it? Should I wipe them?|||I don't bet it matters whether you wipe them off - the cancer these things would cause is FAR down the road. And cell phones are shown to cause cancer anyway.... So you can't win at this game.|||Not unless the toy is highly radioactive. And by that I mean actually glowing in the dark.

What is your infant or toddlers favorite bath toy?
My son's favorite bath toy is a windup fish that swims around the tub. His second favorite is, of course, rubber ducky.|||Out of all the 475945793 toys Landyn HAS to have in the bathtub with him he loves a scooper cup that looks like a lobster. He likes to drink his warm yucky dirty bathwater from it...YUCK! He also likes his own "razor" (it's plastic of course!) and his shaving foam :)|||a cup and the foam alphabet that she has lol|||a cup!|||he loves his rubber duckies...and he's cutting teeth so they always go straight into the mouth...|||Usually its his trains from thomas and friends and his elmo bathtime.|||Just a plain ol plastic cup, my kid ois one of those kids that does not really like toys she likes household stuff..|||a bucket lol he has loads of things boats and squirty toys but his fave is his bucket he like to fill it and empty it :)|||It used to be my shampoo bottle but then she got this crayola bath crayons for her birthday and now she likes them.|||My kids love the foam alphabet and they love anything they can fill with water and dump it over each others heads. They are easily entertained! LOL! The bathroom is always very wet after their bath but it's something they look forward to and get excited about at the end of everyday!|||lol. I bought the baby a playgym for 50 and then bought Morgan a rubber ducky for a dollar twenty - seven so that I at least didn't buy her nothing. It ended up being her favorite toy next to the dolly and sunglasses she carries everywhere.|||A cup, it's his all time favorite, and somehow always manages to get thrown out of the tub when it's full of water. He also has a boat with like a little net thing that you can put ducks and stuff in, he really likes that too.

My girlfriend lives in the Philippines and I want to buy her the biggest stuff toy i could possibly get- anything that is big, cute and cuddly. Could you help me find the fastest and most convenient way of finding one in NY and send in to the Philippines?|||try looking at toys r us or even like a hallmark but shipping on that will probably be outrageous.

It is a lot of work training a puppy. So you need to have a lot of time to raise a pup properly. Basic care is obviously food water and shelter (tons of love too!).
Since poms have huge fluffy coats they wont be needing a sweater (maybe a raincoat if they go outside). You will certainly have to get them groomed by a groomer and you will need to brush them daily.
Lots of good quality brushes and toys and of course treats ! Collar and leash too!
Remember the smaller your pup the more care and special needs they could have. any information about toy dogs would be good to, beacuse i've only really ever had big dogs like an german shepherd who is noew very old and just ignores puppies so she wouldnt be offended by new pups, she never is.

Most shelter/rescue dogs are young adults/adults/seniors so, you may have trouble finding a puppy to adopt.
A Poodle from a *reputable* breeder would cost $1,000-$2,500.
BEWARE of any "breeder" who claims to have "teacup" dogs.
Poodles require A LOT of grooming, you're going to have to be brushing your Poodle every few days to prevent mattes forming.
They also need professional grooming every 1-2 months which costs about $40-$75.
Since Toy Poodles are around 10 lbs they don't require much food and kibble will cost about $60 for a few months depending on what you buy, most small dogs would probably finish 16-18 lbs of food a month.
Puppies are very expensive in their first year expect several hundreds of $$$ spent going to the Vet for vaccines/desexing. Not to mention the carpets they stain or couches/toys chewed on that need replacing!
You also need to update on vaccines, you can choose to update them every 3 or 5 years.
To maintain a Poodle for year it costs around $500-$1,000 depending on where you go for grooming, Vet, what brand you buy kibble, %26amp; ect.|||Toy Poodles don't shed so if you aren't able to trim it's coat, you need to think about the cost of a groomer.
As they are a small breed, you will probably find they are much cheaper than your GSD, e.g. food, anaesthesia, etc.
I have 2 Toy Poodle crosses and it costs me about 拢18 each, roughly needed every 6-8 weeks. This includes wash, cut, claw trim and anal gland draining.|||try craigslist or your local animal shelter/humane society for a small dog. that's where i got my pekingese mix, i love her! they don't eat as much as larger dogs but they DO need to be treated like them otherwise they turn into barking little terrors. make sure they get discipline and walks.
if you've had big dogs, i'm sure you'll be fine with a little one, as long as it's treated like a dog, not a child. good luck!!

It's about 18" long, composed of 24 shapes connected by swiveling joints. From the side it looks something like this: AVAVAVAVAVAVAVAVAV. The triangular prism? shapes alternate in color. I'm looking for a dog toy called a Hairball anybody know the brand?
I'm trying to find another dog toy for our whippet. Its called a hairball and it is like a hard plastic ball about the size of a tennis ball. It has some holes in the bottom and obviously a little bell in it and a bunch of string for hair and a smiley face on it.
He just loves it and the shop I got it from has changed hands and I've never seen one since.

How can you tell if a black toy poodle will turn gray when it gets older?
I am getting a black toy poodle and i was wondering how you can tell if it will turn gray? is it if the face is gray when a peppy?|||if its coat isnt protected then it will|||Do you mean will the poodle turn silver? If so, you need to look at the pup's parents, one of them should be some shade of silver, if they are both jet black, your pup will not silver.
Silver pups are born black and start to silver around "the edges" as they grow.
You will see some silver coming in around the dogs nose, edges of the ears and on the toes.
If you mean will it turn grey as an old dog, most likely, most dogs get grey with advanced age.
You might google Silver Poodles.|||you cant tell but its almost certain that it will. black poodles are cute when they're pups but they usually turn into ugly little things. i work with poopdles every day and i have never seen a cute black poodle that is grown up. i suggest that you get a chocolate brown one because they stay cute and dont usually go grey they seem to have a sparkier personality (i dont know why) and ive never seen one that wasnt adorable|||Most dogs will have white/gray hairs on their face when they get older. There isn't much you can do about this though. The whole body won't change color (though it may fade).|||Im not sure if you can tell but our black miniature poodle turned out to be silver. Can your eyes be damaged by looking at the infrared light from a car toy's infrared remote control?
The directions warn against looking at the beam, even at the reflection of the beam. Yet this toy is labeled for 36 months and older. I find it odd that if it's unsafe at all, we would trust a 3-year-old with it. Where can I have a broken stuffed toy music box fixed?
My wife has a small toy bear that has a motor inside. It plays music and the head rotates with the music. It's like a stuffed animal, but with an internal motor. It's about 30 yrs old. The music box isn't working anymore. Where would I take it to get it fixed?|||Check with your local doll hospital (yes there are such things, look in your yellow pages) and see if they work on such an item. If it's just the music that's not working and the head still moves that should be an easy fix for them. Otherwise, there are repair shops that specialize in music box repair (internet search "music box repair" or check yellow pages); they might have the willingness to operate on the bear. Tricky situation; you sort of need both types of repair specialists.

this has been bugging me all night. this toy had a monster or an action figure inside a bag that if you put the bag in water, it'd melt and reveal a toy that you didn't know what it was until the bag melted. it was a hard plastic, non movable, collectible figure. |||Wow. What company makes that child's orange and yellow toy ride on car you used to see everywhere?
Years ago they used to have these plastic orange cars with yellow roofs, kind of like a toy VW beetle, that children would "drive" and it had a little horn that beeped. The only time I've seen them now is in grocery stores built into carts. What company makes that and are they still for sale? If so, where can I buy one? How different is raising a small (toy) breed from raising an regular average size dog?
Thinking of taking in a rescued yorkie (we think she's "teacup" but we haven't met her yet, we just got a call from the rescue...) but have no experience with toy breeds. We have a 30 lb (rescued, of course) fairly well trained, lab mix - is raising/training such a small dog going to be very different? Any links or resource suggestions?|||It is important that you train the little dog the same as a larger breed. The problem with most small dogs is the owners. They let them get away with things because what is unacceptable in a larger breed is "cute" when a little dog does it. Do not fall into this thinking. Here are some tips
** smaller bladders. have to go more often""
** harder to housebreak - can have a quick accident very quickly before you notice
** May have been pre spoiled
** make them walk on their own 4 paws. Carrying them everywhere makes them either timid or defensive/aggressive
** They have been bred for generations to be companions. most demand your attention
** bones are fragile don't let them jump off furniture. Not recommended with small children
** They think they are bigger than they are. be cautious when playing with larger dogs. May get injured unintentionally
Also, another note: they have fragile necks and tracheas. Be careful of what you use on their necks. I like a well fitting martingale. this is like a cross between a chain training collar and a flat collar. When training it does not close completely around the neck but you still get the snapping sound of a training collar for the correction. Do not jerk them. If you use a flat collar only they will learn to pull on it creating pressure on their necks.
** Most important socialize
|||Small dogs are often spoiled and you'll need to work on boundaries and manners from the time you bring the dog home. Also depending on exactly how small the dog is, you may need to feed it more than the 2-3 times a day average dogs require because they have a tendency to have low blood sugar if they don't eat several small meals a day. Other than that, not much difference.|||Just that their bladders will be smaller. I notice my Toy Poodle has to potty more than my other dogs did.
Training and so on is about the same...varies from dog to dog.|||Well with a regular sized dog you can usualy see them, with a toy you might sit on them or constantly trip over it. |||It is not extremely different from a normal sized dog, though you may be dealing with some very poor socialization in an adult toy breed. They do require sometimes slightly different training approaches and really an emphasis on positive methods only. Owners tend to treat them differently than big dogs, not socialize them coddle them, and treat them like kids. This can result in a snappish, frightened, clingy, just all-around insecure and difficult dog. But, take heart, it can be undone with some time and patience. I took in a 3 year old mill dog this spring, and she's well on her way to being normal, obedient, and happy now! I would strongly recommend buying or checking out at your local library the book "Little Dogs, Training Your Pint Sized Companion" by Deborah Wood. Good luck!

Does anyone know the name of that toy where there's like a ball connected to two ropes and you pull the ropes apart and it sends the ball to the other side? Dogs eat all kinds of trash, poo, and dead animals way past their sell-by date. They are pretty resilient to infections. I always worry more about bits of toys that are not digestible.

she is chewing on a toy right now, and she tears that thing like there is no tomorrow! and i am keeping on worring if she will swallow like an stuff eyeball, the stuffing, or something like that. will it be bad if she swallows something from that chew toy? or not?What if my dog swallowed something from his chew toy?I think their is a difference between toys and chew toys. Chew toys are usually durable. They can withstand many hours of chewing before they need to be replaced. These are toys like Kongs and certain Nylabone products. These are usually safe for even powerful chewers.
Other toys are not. Plush (stuffed) toys, non durable plastic or rubber toys, ropes , tennis balls, etc. These toys should only be used when interacting with your dog and never when unsupervised. These toys can be broken apart and injested. Although your dog will likely pass most swallowed materials (expecially the stuffing) the harder pieces can cause vomiting, digestion blockages and even death from choking. If I buy these toys for my dog I use them for their purpose (ball for fetch, rope for tug) and then I take them away and substitute them with other chewable toys.
For Rawhide toys. Most of these are safe for your dog to chew/eat on a limited basis. They can not digest rawhide so dont overdue it or it could cause digestion problems. Also, its safest to only give them when under supervision because of choking risk.
And Finally....
If you suspect your dog may have injested material from a toy...
If it is not poisonous. Monitor your dog. Contact your vet if you notice decreased apitite, bowl movements, decreased energy etc... They can do an xray to check for blockages.
If the material is poisonous contact an emergency clinic/vet immediatly. Depending on the poison and elasped time they can help you cause vomiting with hydrogen peroxide or Ipecac or suggest other treatments.

My friends with iPad/Pod's all love their apps like tesla toy and spawn and to be honest, im really jealous... I have a stuffed toy which was given to me as a baby in 1957. I am trying to create a homemade toy for my toddler. I am a stay at home mom of twin girls. They show that they are tired of playing with the same toys and so my husband and I thought it'll be a good idea if I came up w/a homemade toy. But, Im stuck.

One they can help with is take paper towel tubes and put rice or beans in it and tape the ends shut and let them color on some paper and tape that around the outside to make them cute. It would make a musical toy. I did that for my son and he loved it! Also depending on their age, I make playdough with my sisters at home and plan on making some slime. Balls are always fun from all different sizes and are very cheap... And also, maybe (not judging you as parents because I have no idea what you do) they could just use more interaction. Play games with them. I spy, Hide and Seek, Tag, Simon Says... Homemade toys aren't exactly ideal for toddlers as most homemade things are not well put together. If you do some interactive activities with your kids however, art projects are always fun. You could make paper lanterns and chains coloring with crayons or paint. There are plenty of things you can make. You could also possibly make a makeshift rain stick or maracas. To make a rain stick use a carboard wrapping paper pole, put bean insdie, and seal both ends with duct or masking tape. To make maracas use 2 plastic or paper cups, put beans inside, a nd seal with duct or masking tape. Hope this helps. I'll list a website below for more ideas.

hot glue
water
oil
bits and bobs: glitter; beads - plastic, glass, wood, etc; dried beans and legumes, short lengths of jewellry chain, fake jewels and crystals, semi-precious stones, small jingle bells

I'd like to paint a wooden toy box for my daughter but I'm not sure what type of paint I should use and what would be safe. My 1 1/2 yr yellow lab constantly carries a toy in her mouth especially when greeting someone. The toy will vary depending in her mood. Its almost like a child's security blanket that they carry around everywhere.
I haven't been able to find any explination for this behaviour. I have recently adopted an 8-10 year old toy poodle who was a stray. At the moment I am taking him for two 10 minute walks per day and sometimes he has a little run around the garden. I was just wondering what is the recommended amount of walks a toy poodle should be having each day?

If he is running around the garden when let out into it he is indicating that his energy levels are not being met.
Your garden should be totally dog proof do that he can wander in and out as well.
He is a slightly older dog but given that he could live another seven years + he needs more now and as time goes on he will indicate to you when he has had enough and it is time to slow it down.
And also look at it as being a good time for you to have some exercise as well. Good thinking time as well. My mother-in-law saw this toy hanging from the car seat handle... it hangs and the baby pulls from the end as the toy "grows" and when the baby releases it, the toy goes back up to its original position.

How can I make a toy helicopter float?
I am making this movie (picture by picture) and I want to make it look like the toy (LEGO) helicopter is floating. I tried thread and holding it with my own hand (while hiding them of course!). My boyfriend might transfer...?
My boyfriend is considering transferring colleges for next year. He's applied to St. Thomas and Augsburg, and both are about 4.5 hours away from my school. My problem is: I'm not sure if I should encourage him to go through with the transfer, but it's not because of me. While I would obviously love him to stay closer to me, that's not a reason that I would use to discourage him from transferring schools (we've only been dating for 6 months). Mostly, I'm worried that he would be transferring for the wrong reasons.
Lately, he has been extremely stressed out at school, because he is involved with a lot of different extra curricular activities on campus. I'm worried that he's blaming this stress on the University, instead of on his delegation of his free time.
Also, when he originally said that he might want to transfer, he mentioned Winona. But he decided to apply to St. Thomas and Augsburg because friends there suggested it. I think that if he transfers schools, it should be about what he wants, not about what his friends from high school think.

I am very stressed, whenever my phone rings I think it would be the embassy calling, but unfortunately no answer.
I have been to the states twice once on a J-1 visa by a Department of State scholarship and the second time with a B-1 , B-2 visa to visit. I never overstayed my stay while in the states.
This time I have a full paid scholarship to go to Augsburg college in Minnesota, I had to defer my admission and scholarships already due to the via delay, and by any further delay I will be subject to lose my scholarships.

College is really important. Aside from picking a good school (which all of them are pretty much on the same level) you need to pick the schools that best suit your career. After that it's really up to preference, but you should apply to all of them and see which ones accept you before you go nitpicking. After that then pick which ones are best.
The school I eventually want to go to was picked because I heard a lot about it, it's got a really active campus with a lot of clubs I'd be into, a diverse campus which is a big plus to me because I don't like race dominated situations and is fairly large which is also great. I don't want to keep running into the same people. They also take my career track all the way into Masters so it's all good.
Decide what's important to you and also your area, college is what you want to make of it really. It can be a great experience of a stressful one throughout.Who can help me find more info about these colleges?

I'm attending Augsburg College this fall and I know that beyond college I want to pursue Film making or advertising.
I figured that the best combination for safety would be to double major in film, and marketing. However I was trying to think of what i should try to minor in if i choose to pursue one. I have to particular interests I'd like to minor in either economics or philosophy. I've always been interested in both classes and taken classes in both during high school but i was curious on what peoples opinion would be on either minor.Will this work if I'm looking to pursue film making or advertising?
Economics is more employable. it provides you form a sunder basis for a job after graduation.

I attended a church affiliated school where chapel was a daily requirement and a Bible course had to be taken every semester. Of course I went to the school looking for those things so it was no concern to me. However I thought it might be wise to do some searching on your school's website for you to see if they may have similar requirements.
They have a daily chapel... but it is entirely optional. And the religion courses listed as part of the 'Liberal Arts Foundation' are only a few of the many choices you can make under the humanities.
I may be missing a small requirement or two of a religious nature... but it would seem you have very little to be concerned about. I was really *looking* for something you 'had' to do and I found nothing. Encouraged to do? Sure... but I could find no required courses or gatherings that you must be a participate in order to attend the school. Hope that helps!Church-affilated college question...?
You may have to attend a theology class or two. But you definitely do not have to conform to their religious views. I know many people that go to St. Thomas in the Twin Cities, but they are not catholic. People do it all the time!

I was not Catholic or religious at all when I first started, but eventually I converted. That was not because I felt forced or out of place though. Its certainly possible that an acoustic weapon could have done this, especially on one that was structually weak...but it would have required a TON of power, and it would have had to be located quite near to the bridge.
I smell a bad consipracy theory here. However, the manner in which the bridge collapsed requires a little more explanation...I would have expected it to collapse more randomly, piece by piece rather than all at once.
