I thought all Yorke's were toy Yorke's. How do I learn if my Yorke's going to be a miniature?|||Neither one exists. Yorkies are members of the Toy group there are no toy Yorkies (other than a stuffed animal) Yorkies come in one size which according to the AKC standard is not larger that 7 lbs|||Yorkies are Yorkies, there are no miniatures or toys. They are not poodles.|||Miniature is a term made up by BYB and puppy-mills in order to make money off of runts. They are not healthy.|||Oh my dear, you are completely confused.
All Yorkies are YORKIES. Not toy or miniature.
There is no way to tell the difference between "toy" or "miniature" Yorkies because they are one in the same - poorly bred runts. They are not a real breed at all - in the breed standard for Yorkies, there is just one and the standards leave no room for these badly bred runts.
You want a Yorkie? Get a real one. Don't spend hundreds of dollars on a runt that will have a wack load of health issues.|||They belong to the toy group, so maybe that's where you're confused. There is no size distinction within the breed|||You are right - there is just one breed, Yorkshire Terrier. Of course there may be variations in size between some bloodlines, and even between puppies in one litter, but there are no Toy or Miniature Yorkies as an official breed. You should get some indication as to mature size from his parents/grandparents.|||there's no such thing as a "toy" or "mini" yorkie
Yorkies come in ONE SIZE ONLY.. and they are part of the "toy" group.
